visual studio - Focus placed on parent folder name after adding new folder -

any time add new folder in visual studio 2015 highlights parent folder name instead of new folder. insanely annoying because end renaming parent instead of new folder time. see screenshot example. added new folder project webapplication1. instead of highlighting new folder (newfolder1) created, highlights parent. know of setting might causing this?

the issue appears linked funnel (vsfunnel) plug-in. if disable plug-in issue goes away. i've tried adjusting various settings plug-in without positive result. solutions, outside of "disable plug-in", useful.
